Why the Moorhouse Family opted for an Extension & Garage Conversion
With a growing family to accommodate, the Moorhouse’s opted for an extension and garage conversion as a more favoured option to moving house, as they loved their current location, and didn’t want the cost or hassle of moving.
What they wanted to achieve
With the added space of an extension and converted garage, the Moorhouse’s were looking to achieve a playroom for their children, a new bedroom and dressing room, as well as larger bedrooms. All finished off with a master suite across the back of the house for themselves.
What we did
The Moorhouse’s property had previously benefited from a single storey side extension, but as they still longed for more space, we built up the current extension to another level to create the additional bedroom and dressing room.
Outline Construction built a new room above the garage and utility area, opened up the staircase, (so the stairs turned off in both directions at the top), removed an existing ensuite to make space for the new landing area, reorganised the layout of the upstairs rooms, and created a brand new, all singing and dancing en-suite area to die for.
In addition, we converted their garage into a playroom for their children, creating a safe, secure, happy and playful area for making memories in.

“Chris was great throughout and always happy to answer our questions. We started the build and 3 weeks in went into national lockdown with covid. This was probably the hardest time to be part way through a house renovation with a young family. Chris kept us up to date and we discussed and agreed plans as the situation changed. The communication was excellent.”
